Today has been a face making day. Sculpting the faces may be my favorite part of the work I'm doing. No matter what sort of body the face ends up in, the face is the part of the toy that really defines the character to me. Also, I feel calm and confident doing this part more than any other.
Oddly, as much as I love painting, I do not love painting the faces. It's fiddly and a little slow, and I always seem to be getting paint in the wrong places and having to go back and fix it.
