Triumphant Return!

It's been so busy around here. Lots of travel, lots of getting work made for shows, plus there was Charlie's three week business trip to India (I stayed home. Flights to India are expensive).

But! I am hoping to get this internet thing back down. Post more often. Right now I'm just popping in to say hi quickly (Photo editing! More travel for which I have packing and preparation! Laundry to fold! And dinner to make!) before I get back to work. But I wanted to show a little preview of my upcoming shop update (For real this time!).

A few months ago I started tinkering with making felt jewelry versions on my work. They've turned out pretty well, and they'll be available for sale this coming Monday! And if you like these ones, click my flickr badge at right to see a whole bunch more.

And if you're in Seattle this weekend, stop by the Plush You! show and say hi. I'll be there, and my work will be up at Nancy.

Three things I have done today:

Repotted some seedlings in my patio garden. We now have, among other plants, seven different tomato varieties! Pictured is the Black Krim, which is already covered with fruit.

Worked on some toys. They aren't all visible in the picture, but there are five sets of bird legs and seven bird faces awaiting bodies on my desk. This is leading up to what will be the first update to my online store in a billion years. Soon!

Worked on x-mas knitting. I'm starting early this year. Really early. I'm about a quarter of the way done with project number one, and it's looking good.

On the schedule for tomorrow- voting, dinner at my favorite Peruvian restaurant, and turning thirty.

Felty New Year!

Happy New Year! New comics are coming soon, but while I get them ready to post, enjoy the first thing I've ever needle felted! Finished just a few minutes ago, it looks very dramatic and a bit sinister. But only in the photo. This is what happens when you're eager to share a new project, and it's already dark out and you have to use a flash.

Off to watch the end of Tremors 4!
